GILFORD ---- It is with great sadness that we are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Christopher Robert Burlock, 55.
Chris was born in Berlin, NH on April 1, 1971. He was the son of Robert and Linda Burlock.
Chris was a truck driver like his father and enjoyed being on the open road. His first love was riding motorcycles with his friends that were like brothers. He also loved competing in motocross. Chris had a zest for life and adventure. He loved skiing and being in the mountains. In his younger years, he spent winters as a ski instructor at Wildcat, Bretton Woods and The Balsams. He was most proud of teaching his girls the love of the sport. His adventurous spirit will live on through them. Chris and his daughters lovingly cleared and created the new trailhead off of Belknap Mountain Road across the street from his home. It was later dedicated in his name by the town of Gilford when it was put into conservation. Chris was a self-taught woodworker and renovated their home on his own.
He is survived by Allison Burlock; his children, Madeline and Emilia; his mother, Linda Burlock; his sister Raegan Burlock and niece, Morgan, and countless friends that he made everywhere he went. His father, Robert Burlock predeceased him.
Chris’ Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
