
He Thi Nguyen, 91, of Worcester died Friday, May 29th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 70 years, Hanh Nguyen; three sons, Tuong Nguyen and his wife, En of Vietnam; Thanh Nguyen and his wife, Lien of Gretna, LA, and Cong Nguyen of Worcester; three daughters, Mylan Nguyen of Worcester, Ngoc Rodriguez and her husband, Jonathan of Worcester; and Lien Nguyen of Worcester; a brother, Dung Nguyen of Vietnam; a sister, Huong Nguyen of Vietnam; 28 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Phuc Nguyen and Lai Nguyen.
She was born in Quang Tri, Vietnam where she spent her early years building a life rooted in hard work, family and tradition. While living in Vietnam, she owned and operated a business buying and selling fish, demonstrating her strong work ethic, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit.
In 1994, she immigrated to the United States, embracing a new chapter in her life while proudly maintaining her Vietnamese heritage and values.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, She found comfort and community in her faith. She had a passion for cooking and took great joy in preparing meals, especially traditional Vietnamese cuisine, sharing her love through food with family and friends.
Above all else, He treasured the time she spent with her family. Whether gathered around the table for a home-cooked meal or celebrating life’s simple moments together, her family was the center of her world. She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering dedication to those she loved, and the warmth and care she shared with everyone around her.
She leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of al who knew and loved her.
Her funeral is Saturday, June 6th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a funeral at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 153 Sterling Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. Calling hours are Thursday June, 4th and Friday, June 5th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
