Dolores “Dolly” Attalla Willey passed away Sunday, May 24, with loving family by her side. She was born on April 29, 1942, in Manchester, NH a daughter of the late Shafeeh and Georgette (Zaidy) Attalla. She had been a resident of Bow for the last 10 years and prior to that lived much of her life in Auburn, NH with her late husband Charles ‘Chuck’ Willey.
Dolly had a thirst for life and adventure! She made many lifelong friends while attending the Elliot School of Nursing and working in the Elliot Hospital operating room, where she spent most of her career. After graduating nursing school, Dolly and a classmate traveled through-out Europe for an extended period and upon her return to the states moved to California with fellow nurses before returning to Manchester to resume her career at the Elliot. Her love for new and exciting experiences spread from her time with innovative procedures in the OR to rafting down the Colorado River. Dolly was always up for a new experience!
Dolly was predeceased by her husband Chuck Willey, her sister Joanne Hudon and her husband Edward Hudon. Dolly leaves behind her beloved siblings Gary Attalla and his wife Nancy, and her sister Lory Attalla and her husband Bill Lemear whom she lived with during the remaining years of her life. She also leaves behind her beloved niece Summer Attalla Heath and her husband Tanner Heath and their two daughters. As well as the many Willey nephews and nieces she and her late husband Chuck treasured their time with. Until her passing Dolly remained close to the many friends she made while working at the Elliot Hospital.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 9th from 4:30 – 6:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service will follow at 6:30pm in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:00am in Village Cemetery, Eaton Hill Rd., Auburn.
