Worcester – Michael R. Pelletier, 75, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in his home, while surrounded by family on Friday, May 22, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Deborah A. (Lacerte) Pelletier; two sons, Adam P. Pelletier of North Brookfield, MA and Nicholas M. Pelletier of Worcester, MA; a brother, Scott J. Pelletier and his wife Therese of Douglas; two grandchildren, Mason N. Pelletier and Elena E. Pelletier and their mother, Karen Pelletier of Worcester; nieces, MaryClaire Pelletier McGriff, Laura Spear and Rachel Slone and a nephew, Daniel E. Pelletier.
Michael was born in Worcester, son of the late Ernest E. and Claire T. (Lamby) Pelletier. He graduated from the former Holy Name Central Catholic High School, and then continued his education by attaining an associate’s degree at Quinsigamond Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College.
Michael worked in the banking industry for 43 years at local banks including Baystate Savings Bank and Fidelity Bank. He also was a parishioner at Christ the King Church and volunteered at Tatnuck Magnet Elementary School as the “Ice Cream Man” where his grandchildren attended school. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He always made sure he was available to attend their extra-curricular activities.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 11:30 AM in Christ the King Church 1052 Pleasant St. Worcester. Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service 33 Ward St. Worcester is honored to be directing funeral arrangements.
