Kathleen Louise Brown, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her daughter's residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Level Cemetery, Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, on Friday afternoon at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Brown was born March 23, 1956, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Louie Thigen, Sr. & Kathleen Louise Tester Gibson. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and worked as a seamstress and in daycare. She loved to paint, cook and listen to Conway Twitty. Mrs. Brown had a big heart and loved to give to others, most of all she loved her family. Mrs. Brown was a member of Ocilla Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Swanson; children and their spouses: Mack Brown & Crystal, Amanda Brown & Jamie Pounds, Berry Brown & Breanna; step daughters, Jodi Swanson and Crystal Ritchie; grandchildren: Christi Mooradian & Zach, Toby Brown, Jakob Brown, Lexie Fisher & Daniel Tucker, Kaylee Fisher & Caleb Callahan, and William Fisher & Peyton White; great grandchildren: Rhett Mooradian, Ethan Tucker, Ansleigh Tucker and Kinzleigh Callahan; a brother, Albert David Gibson; and a sister, Charmagne Gibson Coleson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louie Gibson, Jr.
