DUNN, Marilyn G. (DeCosta) Longtime resident of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away on May 22, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John F. Dunn Jr. Devoted mother of Deborah Rorke and her husband Joseph of Westford, Susan Dunn and her partner Melissa of AZ., and John Dunn III and his wife Patricia of Natick. Loving Grammie of John Dunn IV, Courtney Rorke, and Victoria Dunn. Dear sister of Lee Haydon, Tim Haydon, Joe DeCosta and the late, Carol Langlois and Chuck DeCosta.
Marilyn was a devoted mother, supportive neighbor and loving friend. She traveled extensively and enjoyed working in her garden, reading, baking and spending time with her family. She retired from John Hancock Insurance Co. a job she loved and thrived in. She was a longtime volunteer at Faulkner Hospital, supported many charitable organizations, and enjoyed being part of the Holy Name Retirees Club and other local organizations.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, June 4th at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
