Maureen A. (McCreven) Snyder, a longtime resident of North Andover and beloved wife of the late William Snyder, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Monday, May 25, 2026. She was 82 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on January 31, 1944, she was the beloved daughter of the late Patrick J. and Dorothy A. (Lemist) McCreven. Maureen was a lovely woman, alway's caring for her beloved family. She enjoyed reading, cooking and working in her garden at her home. She also loved discussing politics with anyone that would listen. Above all, she was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Maureen will be sorely missed.
Maureen is survived by her loving children; Rosemary and her husband Robert C. Kenney of North Reading, Dorothy and her husband Patrick Real of Newton, New Hampshire, Anthony Labella of Nahant, Christopher and his wife Laini Labella of Methuen and Patrick and his wife Karyn Labella of Marshfield, sister; Lorraine Grew of Wakefield, grandchildren; Nicole and Joseph Kenney, Lianna, Lauren and Anthony Labella, Jenna D'Alleva, Amber and Bree Labella, Keira and Kaitlyn Real, Jaime Cunningham and Cameron, Devin and Kayley Labella, great-grandchildren; Ella, Jace and Jacoby and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Denise Howes.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street on Friday morning, prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. Donations in Maureen's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
