Moises Brea, a lifelong resident of Lawrence and beloved son of Francisco and Esther (Alicea) Brea, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2026. He was 41 years old.
Moises was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on February 14, 1985. He was a graduate of Salem State University, where he earned his master’s degree.
Moises was self-employed, operating his company, ABC Services. He was most recently employed as a Production Manager for the Cardinal Shoe Corporation and also served as a Recycling Coordinator for Groundworks Lawrence.
Moises was passionate about helping others and caring for the environment. He strongly believed in recycling and environmental responsibility, earning him the nickname “The Recycle King”. He loved Lawrence and was always willing to lend a helping hand to improve his community.
In his spare time, Moises enjoyed drawing, painting, listening to music, and playing dominoes, where he was known as one of the very best. He also loved a good debate and never hesitated to share his thoughts.
He will be dearly missed.
Besides his loving parents, Francisco and Esther, Moises is survived by his loving brothers, Keith Brea of Lawrence and Japhet Brea and partner, Jenny Rojas of North Andover, his nieces, Iyses Paris Brea and Serenati Jewel Brea, his nephew Jarius Elias Brea, his aunt and uncle, and many cousins in New York.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 4 to 8 PM.
