John Gordon Rossiter

John Gordon Rossiter, 80, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 surrounded by his family at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born on March 26, 1946 in San Diego, CA, the son of Joseph B. and Rebecca Jane (Stark) Rossiter. He was a helicopter mechanic with the United States Army in Vietnam in 1963-1967. John was employed in maintenance at Amacor and also US Leisure. He was very mechanically minded and loved working on cars and motorcycles. He especially loved Corvettes and Harleys. John loved reading and history, and was well known for sharing his knowledge with those he met. He was loved by all who met him.
He is survived by his wife, Lucinda K. (Stansberry) Rossiter, whom he married June 8, 2011; his children Adrianna Bishop, Jessica Rossiter, and Joseph Rossiter; step children Peggy Patton, JoAnn Stewart (Jason Babcock), Shaun Stewart (Jamie); grandchildren Breana Bishop, Amy Dubilo, Madison Bishop, Gabriela Herrera-Rossiter, Alex Patton, Kylie Patton, Morgan Baker, Riley, Griffin, and Jackson Stewart; great grandchild, Rowan Oliver Ferrel; siblings Robert J. Cascino (Deb), Elizabeth Potter (Ray); several nieces and nephews
John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Joanne Rossiter, and step fathers William Evans III and Frank Cascino.
Cremation has been chosen with a celebration of life to be held later by the family.
