Obituary

Antonio LaBella, (56) of Medford, MA passed away suddenly, Thursday evening on May 21st, 2026. Beloved son of Domenico and Maddalena (DelMonaco) LaBella of Medford. Devoted father of Christopher and Ava LaBella (both of Medford). Loving brother of John and his wife Mina (Imbriano) LaBella of Saugus, Lisa (LaBella) DiMatteo and husband David of Waltham. Cherished uncle of Domenic, Matthew and Daniel DiMatteo. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

As a lifelong resident of Medford, Antonio graduated from Medford High School and then graduated from Suffolk University, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He started his career as a banking professional until other business opportunities changed his path. He then moved to North Carolina and started his young family where Christopher and Ava were born. After several years, he moved back to open LaBella’s Fine Foods, where his love for cooking flourished. He ran a successful business until it was time to move on. His love for driving led him to open American Livery which continued his love for exploring new places.

Antonio’s entrepreneurial spirit was not his only unique aspect. He was the greatest father and one of the best uncles. He wanted the best for his children and nephews and would do anything to be there for his family. Without him, our family gatherings were never the same.

Antonio had a fearless sense of adventure that included traveling to all parts of the world. He loved to meet new people and always looked forward to showing his children the world as well. Family road trips, cruises, Disney vacations, day trips to New York for a slice of pizza, and of course traveling to Miranda, Italy to visit our family. Having Antonio in your life was truly a wonderful adventure, leaving us with the most special memories.

As Antonio had a sense of adventure, he also was a great mentor to his children and nephews. He set them up for success with financial guidance, inspiration, and life teachings. With his calming force, and a heart of gold, he truly was our guiding light. He made it a point to show up for any minor and major school event and anything in between with pride and joy. Sunday family dinners were never dull as he was always making us laugh through his amazing sense of storytelling. He was a voice of reason, and when life brought chaos, he brought a sense of calm. He taught us not to take life so seriously, but instead to take everything one step at a time. He truly was the life of the party where his presence could light up any dark room.

Antonio will forever be remembered for his quiet and humble disposition, his unique ability to make us laugh, and the love he shared to family and friends alike. He shaped our lives in immeasurable ways, and we will look back at all the beautiful memories we had with a big smile. His love was extra special to all he came across and is something that will carry us forward. He is simply the best.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Antonio's family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home. 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, May 30th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, with a service in the Funeral Home at Noon. Services will conclude with burial.
