Obituary

Thomas Eugene Boyan, 73, of Medway died May 22, 2026, at UMass Memorial- Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was the husband of Donna (Liberty) Boyan.

Born in Hyannis, February 13, 1953, the son of the late Walter and Lillian (Labute) Boyan, Tom, had lived in Hyde Park before moving to Medway where he spent most of his life. He was a graduate of Medway High School.

Tom’s first job was at the Red Gate Farm in Medway. Followed by FilFast Corp. and Prime Computer before working at the Medway Country Manor in the Maintenance Department. Tom enjoyed fishing and cheering on the Patriots and his beloved Red Sox, no matter how bad they were doing. You could always find Tom taking his Saturday morning trips to the Little Store to see “Jack” to pick his weekly numbers along with his scratch tickets.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shannon (Boyan) Grzyb and her husband, Steven, of Whitinsville; and Erin (Boyan) Hall and her husband, William, of Medway. He is also survived by his grandchildren Thomas Mele, Jillian Mele, Gianna Mele, Marissa Hall, Michael Hall, Rhyan Grzyb and Justin Grzyb.

Tom is also survived by his stepchildren; Russell Bemis and his late wife Kerri, Bonnie (Bemis) Caron and her husband, David. As well as their children, Destini Bemis, Alyssa Pepper, Matthew Caron and Benjamin Caron.
Tom is survived by his brothers, William Boyan and his wife, Theresa of South Carolina; James Boyan and his wife, Maryanne of Franklin MA; Paul Boyan and his wife, Cindy of Maine, as well as many cousins, niece and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St Medway at 10am
Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery, Medway, following the funeral.

Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Tuesday, June 2 from 8:30-10am in the funeral home.
