Marion (Niemi) Robertson
July 19, 1930 – May 18, 2026
Marion (Niemi) Robertson, wife of the late Leon G. Robertson, passed away
peacefully on May 18th, 2026, after a long and full life, with family by her side.
Born in Fitchburg on July 19, 1930, she was raised in Lowell and later made her
home in both Cambridge and Stoughton.
For more than thirty years, Marion worked as a Lab Technician at Polaroid
Corporation, where her dedication and quiet competence earned the respect of
her colleagues and friends alike. In retirement, she engaged passionately in
volunteer work, generously giving her time to assist seniors in her community.
She loved simple pleasures—completing the daily crossword puzzle each
morning and taking regular walks that kept her active and connected to the
community around her. Most of all, she cherished time spent in Maine with her
family, where she created countless happy memories.
She is survived by her sons, Alan and Wayne Robertson of Newfield, ME; her
daughter Adele Brown and her husband, John of Lowell, MA; and her daughter
Sharon Newton and her husband, Paul of Canton, MA.
Marion was a proud grandmother of grandson Derik Newton of Canton, MA, and
granddaughter Kristine McNulty and her husband Daniel of Salem, NH; great-
grandmother of four great-grandchildren: Kayla Lamoureux of Conroe, TX; Kyree
Lamoureux of Douglas, MA; Zachary David of Salem, NH; and Mason Santos of
Salem, NH; and three great-great-grandchildren: Tavian Ramos, Elaina Mae
Lipseir, and Zayne David.
Her loving presence, gentle spirit, and devotion to family will be remembered by
all who knew her.
