
Elder Marvin Junior Paulk, 73, of Alapaha, Georgia, died Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, May 28th at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church, Coffee County, Georgia with the Elder Jim McGill officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Church Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the service hour in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Paulk was born October 6, 1952, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late M.J. & Esther Jacquelyn Daniel Paulk. He was a graduate of Irwin County High School and served in the United States Army National Reserve. He loved to travel, fish, ride his motorcycle and enjoyed farming and riding the tractor with his brother, Billy. Mr. Paulk loved to play the piano and pastored numerous Primitive Baptist churches throughout the area. He was a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church where he currently pastored.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Frances Griffin Paulk; his daughter, Melinda Purvis of Brookfield; grandchildren: Jayden Purvis & Kaitlyn, Alexis Purvis, Lexi Paulk and Levi Paulk; and a brother, Billy Paulk & Gina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Brenda Jean Paulk and a son, Markus Brendin Paulk.
