Paul Gawron, age 63, passed away on May 22, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1962 in Springfield, son of the late Alfred E. Gawron and Stefania (Kumiega) Gawron. Paul worked as the night crew manager at Stop and Shop for over 43 years before he retired. He was an avid snowboarder and outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. Above all, he loved being with his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Regnier) Gawron of Monson; one son, Zachary Gawron and his partner Aldo Diaz of Virginia; one daughter, Kayla Gawron of Monson; one sister, Michaeline Paquette and her husband William of Belchertown; two brothers-in-law, David Regnier of AZ and Brian Regnier and his partner Sue Fleury of Chicopee; one sister-in-law, Donna Dionne of Chicopee and three nieces, Beth Regnier of Agawam, Joyce Regnier of AZ and Suzie Regnier of AZ. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a prayer service to begin at 12:00 Noon. The family requests casual attire (shorts and bright colors) for the services.
