BURLINGTON- Sandra "Sandy" M. Sibley passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, after a short illness at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.
She was born in Portland to Francis and Dorothy Sibley on September 24, 1956.
Sandy grew up in Scarborough, Maine. During her working years she worked at K-Mart in Maine until the company sent her to Michigan to train for computer programming. From there, she went to Las Vegas to work in the event planning business. She came back to Maine when her sister Brenda became terminally ill. During that time, she started working at Spectrum until she retired.
She is survived by her brother, Francis (Abe) Sibley Jr. and his girlfriend Nancy, Uncle Dennis Sibley, Uncle Clayton Sibley and his wife Vicky, Aunt Shelley and her husband Everett Lowe, many cousins and her close friend Diane Haines.
Sandy was very family oriented, keeping everyone informed about family. She will be dearly missed by all.
There will be a graveside service at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Burlington, Maine at a later date.
