Kevin M. Villandry, 62, of Concord Street, Greenville, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Hospice Intake Center in Providence. He was the husband of Colleen J. (Halloran) Villandry. They had been married for 25 years. He leaves behind his loving children, Katherine “Katie” Grace Villandry and Michael “Moe” Kevin Villandry, both of Smithfield.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George H. and Evelyn M. (King) Villandry. Kevin was a lifelong resident of Greenville and a graduate of Smithfield High School, Class of 1981.
Kevin was a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving as a Military Police Officer from 1984 to 1988. Following his military service, Kevin worked various jobs before becoming a member of Teamsters Local 251, where he worked as a driver for multiple agencies. During this time, he also worked as the head bouncer at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel and as a bartender at Kilkenny's Tap.
The greatest achievement in Kevin’s life was being the father of Katie and Moe. You could not find a prouder dad. From watching Katie at her dance recitals, school plays, and a cappella performances to yelling Moe’s name from the sidelines at his football, baseball, soccer, and basketball games, Kevin cherished every moment. Watching Katie sing her heart out and Moe give everything he had on the football field for Smithfield High School brought Kevin both smiles and tears of pride.
Besides his wife and children, he leaves behind his siblings: Karen L. Schatz and her husband, Jack, of Wrentham, Massachusetts; Thomas E. Villandry and his wife, Barbara, of Manchester, Connecticut; Kimberly Fandetti of Cumberland; and Timothy W. Villandry of Coventry. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, affectionately known by Kevin as part of the “Lah De Dahs”: Sheila McPartlin, Michaela Otrando, and Aileen DeArruda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, 4pm to 7pm. at the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
One of Kevin’s last requests was to be buried in a Hawaiian shirt and jacket so he would be ready for the party in heaven when he is reunited with his mother, family, and friends who passed before him. In honor of Kevin, family and friends are invited to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt to both the wake and funeral Mass.
