
LUDLOW – Karen A. (Davis) Wytas, 66, of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 22, 2026 after a valiant battle with ALS. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 4, 1960, a beloved daughter of the late Raymond P. and Corinne H. (Lutz) Davis. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from Classical High School in Springfield in 1977 and moved to Ludlow in 2000 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was first employed at the Travis Auto School in Springfield and later as an office manager at the former Diamond Match Company in Springfield. Karen was last employed at the former Southworth Paper Company in Agawam. During her leisure time, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Ludlow Fish and Game Club. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Kenneth F. Wytas. They were married on September 11, 1988 at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield and were blessed with over 37 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving sons, Evan M. Wytas and his wife, Karla, of Ludlow and Ryan J. Wytas and his partner, Savannah, of Three Rivers; her cherished granddaughter, Margaret Karen Wytas; her dear sister, Julie A. Horgan of Bradenton, FL; her dear brother, Bryan K. Davis of Springfield; her dear father in law and mother in law, Norman A. and Jeanette (Foisy) Wytas of Poinciana, FL; her two dear brothers in law, Richard A. Roberts of Springfield and Norman A. Wytas and his wife, Mary Jo, of West Springfield; her dear sister in law, Cheryl Schnepp and her husband, Thomas, of Orange, CT; her longtime friends, Cecilia “Ceily May” Laput of Groton, CT, and Debra Baker of Wilbraham; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister, Sharon A. Roberts who was Called Home on August 20, 2024. Her family would like to especially thank her caregivers Aubrey, Peter and Hope from Baystate Hospice for their loving care and compassion. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, Her Inurnment will follow the Prayer Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
