John had many interests as well, including sailing, flying and fishing. He loved flying and later in life obtained his flying license where he became a certified flight instructor and enjoyed sharing his passion by teaching others. Also, an avid fisherman John found peace and joy in the serenity of the lake and the friendly competition of who can land the biggest bass.
