Howard I.Finn, Jr., "Huck", a comptroller for the former Leviton Mfg. until retirement died Friday, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary (O’Connor) Finn.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Howard I. Finn, Sr. and Stella (Clegg) Finn, he was a resident of Smithfield, RI for over 50 years.
He is survived by sons, Howard I. Finn III of Townsend MA, Frank Finn of Hope and John Finn of North Haverhill, NH; daughter; Mickey Finn-Jordan of Greenville, five grandchildren, Laura, Dan and Patrick Finn, Craig and Ashley Jordan. He was the brother of the late Stella (Finn) Maher.
Mr. Finn was a Army veteran of WWII and was stationed in India. He was a graduate of URI School of Engineering and a member of VFW Post 2929. He was a Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 3 Greenville in the mid 60's and District Commissioner of Narragansett Council BSA. He was a member of the Smithfield Sr. Center and an active member of the board for the RI Association of the Blind.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mark’s Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue,Jamestown. Burial with military honors in St. Mark’s Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday morning from 8-9:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National Federation of the Blind, R.I. Chapter, P. O. Box 154564, Riverside, R.I 02915 or take your dad out for dinner.
