Obituary

Henry J. Cormier, 77, of Grafton died Monday, May 18th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Mabel E. (Hodgerney) Cormier; his two children, Wayne Cormier and his wife, Melissa of West Plains, Missouri; and Michelle Cormier of Worcester; his stepchildren, Robert Goguen, Lisa Goguen, Christine Goguen, Henry Goguen, Christa Cormier, Donna Kinney, and Lori Ferrante; two brothers, David Cormier and his wife, Lisa of West Plains, Missouri and Charles Cormier and his wife, Patricia of Dudley; two sisters, Yvette Besse of South Carolina and Joyce Paquette of Whitinsville; seventeen grandchildren including, Justin, Francesca, Anthony, and Laniya Cormier; twenty-two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepson, Jeffrey Goguen; his stepdaughter, Rebecca Cunningham; his three brothers, Joseph, Richard, and Robert Cormier; and his two sisters, Doris Brown and Alice Gentile.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Lionel and Rita (Ledoux) Cormier. Henry proudly served in his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era before dedicating more than 50 years of hard work and craftsmanship to Guertin Graphics. Throughout his longtime career, he specialized in creating custom t-shirts and trophies, becoming a familiar and valued presence within the company until his retirement in 2019. Even after retiring, Henry continued to lend a helping hand whenever he was needed, a reflection of his strong work ethic and loyalty.
Outside of work, Henry found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing and camping, always appreciating time spent outdoors. Above all else, Henry cherished the moments shared with his family. He especially looked forward to the weekly traditions that brought everyone together, including the Wednesday lunches and the Thursday evening gatherings at his home times filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of family that meant so much to him.
Henry will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
