Obituary

Diana M. (Ferraro) Mancinelli, 66, of Atkinson, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 1, 1959, she was the beloved daughter of Vincent and Mary (Tretola) Ferraro.

Diana leaves behind her devoted husband of 45 years, Michael W. Mancinelli, and her loving sons, Scott Mancinelli and his wife Tami of Andover, Kevin Mancinelli and his wife Michelle of Wakefield, and Matthew Mancinelli of California. Diana was the proud and loving grandmother, lovingly known as Nonna, to her beautiful grandchildren; Oliver, Emilie, Myles, Norah and Tessa. She is also survived by her brothers Michael Ferraro and his wife Kim of Lynn and Vincent Ferraro, and her nieces and nephews; Maria, Michelle, Michael, Brianna, Ryan, Melody, Taylor and Lexi. Diana was also the sister of the late Gina (Ferraro) Sorrentino and John Ferraro.

Diana was born in Lynn, Massachusetts and graduated from Lynn English High School and Salem State College. At 18 she met the love of her life, Michael. The two started their family in Wilmington and then settled down in Andover where they raised their three sons. Diana was employed as an Accountant for BNY Mellon for many years but her most treasured role in life was being a mother and a grandmother. Diana created joy through gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers, preparing homemade Italian meals, hosting her family and friends, playing pickleball, and riding bikes. She also loved to travel with her husband and family, making treasured memories in places such as Turks and Caicos, Aruba, Kiawah, Italy, and long weekend getaways to the mountains and coast of New Hampshire and Maine. When it came time to relax, spending quiet time at home and holding her husband's hand was her comfort place; they adored each other. Above all, she was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and committed grandmother, who loved spending her time with her grandchildren. She made them smile and laugh every day.

Diana touched countless lives with her boundless love, gentle heart, and remarkable gift for making everyone feel deeply cherished. She had courageously overcome leukemia more than seven years ago and more recently faced colon cancer with the same strength and grace. Her unwavering optimism and kindness will be treasured always, and she will be missed beyond words.
