
Ranjit Singh, 56, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Born on January 21, 1970, in Punjab Province, India, he was the beloved son of the late Jagdev Singh and Jasminder Kaur of India.
Ranjit was raised and educated in India and earned his bachelor’s degree from Punjabi University in Patiala. At the age of 22, he came to the United States and made his home in Boston, a city he grew to love deeply and proudly called home for many years.
For more than three decades, Ranjit worked as a taxi driver throughout the Boston area. Through his work, he met countless people and became known for his hardworking nature and friendly personality. Outside of work, he enjoyed following sports and was an enthusiastic fan of Boston’s professional teams.
Above all, Ranjit cherished his family and the time he spent with those he loved.
In addition to his mother, Jasminder Kaur of India, he is survived by his two sons, Armaan Singh and Angadveer Singh, both of Billerica; and his sister, Kamaljeet Atwal of Vancouver, Canada
All are welcome to attend his cremation service on Wednesday May 20, 2026 from 9am until 11am at Merrimack Cremation Service, 10 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack, New Hampshire.
