
NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT – Randal W. “Randy” Westerman, 78, passed away peacefully in his home on May 13, 2026 in the presence of his son and daughter-in-law.
He leaves his son John R. Westerman and his wife Cheryl of Webster, MA; Cheryl’s children, Aaron, Ben and Sarah and her partner Gabe and their son Carson, “Randy’s little book buddy”; three brothers, Franklin Westerman and his wife Ginny of Cape Cod, MA, Philip Westerman of Florida, and David Westerman and his wife Judy of North Dakota; two nieces, Jill (Westerman) Levesque of Centerville, MA and Charlene (Westerman) Wifall of Grand Forks, ND; two nephews, Justin and Jared Deal; and a former sister-in-law, Elinor (Gawle) Sullivan. He also leaves his friends and neighbors, Christian, JR, Nicole, Sandy and Gary who cared for and helped him throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his infant children Mark Westerman and Christine Westerman, by his son Gregory A. Westerman who died in 2013, and by his former wife and the mother of his children, Justine (Gawle) Westerman in 2000.
He was born in Evans City, Pennsylvania on June 22, 1947 a son of Franklin and Theresa (Mathias) Westerman and was raised in Economy Borough, PA. He came to Webster, MA in the mid 1960’s and lived in the area for 60 years.
Mr. Westerman was a forklift operator at Cranston Print Works, Company in Webster, MA before retiring.
Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, whiskey and having a good time. He was a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed restoring classic cars.
John and Cheryl would like to thank Day Kimball Hospice and Palliative Care for helping fulfill Randy’s final wishes. Thanks to all the nurses and aides, especially Stacey and Joann, who helped tremendously in Randy’s final days.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 6 in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Old Worcester Road, Webster, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA.
