
Betty Ann Wilson Yancey, 69, of Tifton passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Chris House officiating. Ms. Yancey will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Jade Moreno, Juan Moreno Jr., Lawrence Cooper, Austin Cooper, Cameron Mathis and Josh Cooper will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 24, 1957, in Tifton, Ms. Yancey was the daughter of the late Lawrence Wilson and Jo King Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Charles; and one grandson, Ty Owens. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She had a strong love for her family, friends and her community. Her grandkids were the love of her life and she loved her dog, “Bit Bit”. Sitting on the porch and talking to people were some of her favorite things to do and she never met a stranger.
Ms. Yancey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Missy Owens of Eldorado; one daughter and son-in-law, Natosha Phillips and Carlos Moreno of Tifton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Savannah and Cameron Mathis, Jade Moreno, Juan Moreno Jr., Jeovanni Torrez and Pedro Moreno, all of Tifton; and four great-grandchildren, Aubree Mathis, Madilynn Mathis, Avalyn Moreno and Jaxtyn Moreno.
