Darlene M. (Corbett) Alosso, age 73, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston. Raised and educated in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late James and Edith (Riessle) Corbett. Darlene lived in Somerville for forty-five years and moved to Medford a decade ago. She was employed with John Hancock in Boston for many years and with Arlington Public Schools as a food service worker for over thirty-five years. She retired three years ago. Darlene took such pleasure in loving her fur babies, Sam, Matty, Katie, Teddy and Panda, who gave her so much joy. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with family at the lake house in Sterling. Darlene cherished time spent, especially at Walden Pond, with Raegan and Hunter who lovingly called her “Nana”. She also loved special outings to Encore with Al, Sheila, and Dennis.
Darlene was the beloved wife of Albert Alosso, and the devoted mother of the late Craig Alosso. She was the dear sister of James Corbett of Stoneham and his companion Jeannie, Niall Corbett and his wife Debora of Avon, Shawn Corbett and his wife Peggyof Byron, GA, Sheila Cooke and her fiancé Dennis Nickerson of Malden, and Timothy Corbett and his wife Judy of Sterling. She was the loving sister-in-law of David Alosso of Fort Meyers, FL, and Joseph Alosso of CT, and the cherished aunt of Jay and Shane Corbett, Niall Jr. and Daniel Corbett, Shawn Corbett, Jr. and Shannon Eichorn, Michael and Danielle Cooke, Thomas and Timothy Corbett, Jennifer and Daniel Alosso, and Emily, Dominic and Anthony Alosso.
Darlene will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, May 19th from 4 to 7 PM, concluding with a service at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
