Marjorie May “Margie” (Heap) O’Keefe, of Florida and formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
Margie was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. O’Keefe Sr. Devoted mother of Kelly Lopes and her husband John Lopes of Florida; Kenneth J. O’Keefe Jr. and the late Christine O’Keefe of Dorchester; and Michael O’Keefe and his companion Tanya Palmer of Rockland. Cherished grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She was the loving daughter of the late Margaret Heap, Frederick Pike, and her stepfather William Heap. Margie was the dear sister of the late William Heap and his wife Diane of Florida; the late Jean McGoven and her husband Frederick of Maine; the late Rita Dunkin; the late Frederick Heap; the late Julie Winston; the late Charlotte Powers; and Robert Heap and his wife Pam of Maine. She is also survived by many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Margie will be remembered for her devotion to family, her warm heart, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Wednesday, May 20 from 4:00-8:00p.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Brigid's Church, South Boston, Thursday at 10:00a.m.
