Earl N. Griffith, Jr., 59, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, September 15, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 21, 2006, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00, Wednesday evening.
Mr. Griffith was born September 2, 1947, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Earl Newell Griffith and the late Alice Mize Griffith. He had lived in the community since 1997 coming from Chicago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era and was trained as a Korean Interpreter. He worked as a pharmacist and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Mr. Griffith is survived by his father: Earl N. Griffith of Fitzgerald; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Col. James Ray “Jim” and Nancy Griffith of Germany and George Lee and Ruth Griffith of Greensburg, Indiana; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Jessica Lynn and Anthony Davenport of Fitzgerald and Genie Higgins of Raleigh, North Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
