Guy J. Pirello, Sr., 78, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday May 12, 2026 in his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 16, 1947 in North Reading, MA, a son of the late Carmello and Angelina (Marino) Pirello. He had been a resident of Derry since 1986, formerly living in Medford, MA. Guy was a US Navy veteran serving on the SS Kitty Hawk. He had been employed for the MBTA as a construction inspector. Guy loved to watch professional sports, especially football.
He is survived by his son, Nicholas A. Pirello of Derry; his granddaughter, Samantha A. Pirello and her wife, Caitlin Hogan of Barnstead, NH; his sister, Jacqueline Bissette of Chelmsford, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Guy J. Pirello, Jr. in 2024, and his wife, Lorene (Callahan) Pirello in 2022.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 19th from 5:00 - 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, or any other similar organization.
