Soeurette Dorilus, affectionately known as “Joujou,” peacefully departed this life on April 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Port-au-Prince, after courageously enduring two years of illness and suffering.
Born in Port-au-Prince into a family of twelve children, she was the tenth child of the late Laura Belizaire and the late Hilaire Dorilus. Quiet, humble, and reserved by nature, Joujou was deeply loved and appreciated by all who knew her. Our deepest sympathies goes to her aunts, Marie Anne Lemaire and her husband and her dear siblings: Marie Rolande Dorilus; Franck Dorilus; Laura Dorilus and her husband; and Jean Ricot Dorilus and his wife.
