Obituary

Martha Corriea, 87, a resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lowell on June 25, 1938, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph P. Corriea and the late Eva A. (Dysko) Corriea. Martha was raised in Lowell, attended local schools, and spent most of her life in the city she loved before later making her home in Dracut.

Martha was a hardworking and driven woman who enjoyed a long and successful career in management. Respected by colleagues and peers alike, she received numerous honors and awards throughout her professional life and always spoke fondly of the many friendships and experiences she gained through her years in the workforce.

Outside of work, Martha found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved spending time with her sister Mary “Marilyn”, enjoying countless trips together to bingo halls over the years. Martha also enjoyed shopping, watching soap operas and Boston sports teams, reading, doing puzzles, and taking pride in self-care, from her hair and nails to skincare and fashion. She also enjoyed cooking her infamous potato pancakes and cream puffs. Above all else, Martha treasured time spent with her family, who brought her the greatest happiness.

She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, especially her devoted goddaughter and niece, Doreen Vieira, as well as several beloved grandnieces and grandnephews as well as several great grandnieces and great grandnephews who held a special place in her heart.

Martha was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Corriea Jr., Florence Hunt, Robert Corriea, Natalie Secchiaroli, Doreen Corriea, James Corriea, Brenda Strong, Mary Beaulieu, and Sheila Corriea, as well as several nieces and nephews especially her very special niece, the late Mary Ann Hunt “Princess”.

You are welcome to attend her funeral Mass on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 10AM at Saint Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, MA. Followed by procession for burial in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
