Zambito, Charles Long time resident of Needham. Born in Montaperto, Sicily, Italy. Charlie passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026 at the age 95. Son of Pasquale and Calogera Zambito. Beloved husband of the late Marion (Fiorentino) Zambito.
Devoted father of Patrick C. Zambito and his wife Antonietta of Norwood, Charlene Rosata of Medfield and Donna Zambito of Walpole. Grandfather of Melissa Jacques (Brian), Emily Zambito, Charles Zambito, Carla Rosata (Ryan), Angela Coville, John Coville and Christina Coville. Great-grandfather of Cooper Jacques, Amelia Remillard and Gabrielle Remillard. Brother of Lorenzo Zambito of Needham and Gina Zambito of Italy and the late Rosa Zambito and Raimondo Zambito both of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was late retired employee of the Town of Needham and member of the Needham Knights of Columbus. He was an avid bocce player at the Italo American Club of Wellesley and was an incredible gardener with the best tomatoes.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Tuesday, May 19, from 9am-10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
