BRIDGEWATER ---- Frances (Fifield) Cyr 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence in Bridgewater, New Hampshire.
Fran was born on March 12, 1948, in Franklin, NH, the daughter of James and Martha (Wells) Fifield. She resided in Danbury, NH throughout her school years until graduating from Newfound Memorial, class of 1966.
While in high school Fran frequently babysat for a nearby family and in that position, she was introduced to downhill skiing and loved it. Ragged Mountain became a second home to Fran, her sister, and friends. Later in life Fran was employed at Waterville Valley Resort and introduced her girls to skiing.
Fran was a beloved member of her community and a dedicated professional known for her work as a Member Solutions Representative at NH Electric Coop for many years until her retirement.
Fran loved the outdoors, with a fondness for snowshoeing in the winter, spring trips to her happy place, Myrtle Beach, gardening in the summer, and spending time with family and friends at her pool. She was a NASCAR fan and a huge New England Patriots fan. She also loved animals with a particular fondness for elephants and Rottweilers.
Fran is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Norman Cyr; her daughters Amanda Cyr and Andrea Bartz and her husband Chris, her cherished sister, Donna Fifield and her grandsons, Dyllan, Ian, and Ryan. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. Fran was preceded in death by her parents and brothers James and Wesley.
