Obituary

Kevin Scott Smith, 59, of Andover, Massachusetts, was taken from us far too soon on May 6, 2026. Born and raised in Southington, Connecticut, Kevin lived a fulfilling life centered around love, family, hard work, and devotion to those he cherished most.

Kevin was the beloved husband of Christine Smith, the love of his life and his best friend. The two met in college and built a beautiful life together filled with love, laughter, partnership, and unwavering support. A true love story rooted in friendship, loyalty, and deep admiration for one another. Kevin adored Christine so dearly, and she him; together they created a home full of warmth and love. More than anything, Kevin was a proud and devoted father to his three daughters, Alyssa, Amanda, and Ashley, whom he absolutely cherished. His girls were the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether cheering them on, making them laugh, offering guidance, or simply being present, Kevin’s love for his daughters was constant and unconditional.

Kevin especially loved coaching his daughters’ soccer teams over the years. Those memories on the sidelines, encouraging and supporting his girls and their teammates with enthusiasm, humor, and pride, became some of the most meaningful moments of his life. He was the kind of father who showed up for everything and made every moment feel important. Known for his infectious laugh, joking personality, and kind heart, Kevin brought laughter wherever he went. He had a gift for making people feel comfortable, welcomed, and loved. His sense of humor and warm spirit left lasting impressions on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Kevin’s strong work ethic began at a very young age when he started working as a paperboy. Throughout his life, he carried that same dedication and pride into everything he did. He worked hard not for recognition, but because caring for his family meant everything to him.

Kevin is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Christine Smith; his cherished daughters, Alyssa, Amanda, and Ashley; his father, Gerald Smith; his sister, Keely Smith; many nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by his beloved brother, Brett Smith; his step-mom, Fran Borek; his mother, Jeanne Smith; and his niece Taylor Smith.

Kevin will be remembered most for the love he gave so freely, the laughter he shared so effortlessly, and the deep devotion he had for his family. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created and the love he leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
