Roy Stephen Johnson, 78, of Litchfield, NH, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, in his home. He was born on March 13, 1948 in Winchester, MA, a son of Oscar and Aleda (Carlson) Johnson.
Roy was proud of his service in the Navy, serving one tour of duty in Vietnam on the USS Boston. At Litchfield Presbyterian Church, he served as an Elder and a coordinator for Scouts of America. At Bethany Covenant Church, he served as a member on the youth commission. He was generous, caring, kind, and giving. He was always taking care of family, friends and loved ones in his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Johnson, three daughters, Diana Hutchinson and husband David, Laura Smith and husband Jeff, Kristen Hussey and husband Chris. He has six grandchildren: Madison, Alex, Anna, Hailey, Mathew, and Samantha. He has one great-grandchild Cierra and several extended family members and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A memorial service will follow at 5:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Covenant Church, 1 Covenant Way, Bedford, N.H.
