Marilyn J. (Beriau) Vranos, Worcester, MA, 94 years old, left this world with her loving family by her side. She was simply the “best,” a wonderful wife, mother, and friend, who will be deeply mourned by her family and friends. Everyone wanted to be in her presence, she was nonjudgemental, kind, generous and a lively conversationalist. She was the last of a generation of women who did not work outside the home. A talented “do it yourselfer"; she painted her house, inside and out, wallpapered, gardened, sewed, and created professional window treatments for herself and all her children. She loved art and music and when her children were on their own she became an oil painter.
Her husband of 64 years, George, predeceased her in 2020. She leaves her children, Christine (Alexander V. Lorincz), John Vranos (Denise Dulmaine), George Vranos (Jayne Vranos). She also left three grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Vranos (Dominique Vranos) and Alexander G. Lorincz, and two great-granddaughters, Charlotte, and Michelle.
From a proud French Canadian family of 10 siblings she was predeceased by sisters and brothers; Lucille, Wilfred, Clodold, Paul, Joseph, Jr., Rita, and Theodore. She leaves two sisters, Marcia Morin and Carol Kane.
The family is deeply grateful for the loving, professional care given to Marilyn from Goddard/Homestead Assisted Living and Nursing Home. A special thanks to the caregivers and friends who enriched her life; Rita Allen, Gladys Augustin, Deborah Homer, Esther, Alicia, Jackie, Rhuby, Emily, Celli, Jackie and Chris Painchaud.
Funeral arrangements are private.
