Andrzej Konopka

Andrzej Konopka, beloved wujek, 65, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 6, 2026. Andy was born on May 1, 1961, in Wasosz, Poland. He later made his home in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he built a life centered around hard work, family, and the simple joys of being surrounded by the people he loved most.
For 25 years, Andy worked as a machine operator at Barrday, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Andy found happiness in spending time outdoors, especially visiting Cape Cod, a place he truly loved. More than anything, he treasured the moments shared with his nieces and nephews, bringing warmth, laughter, and kindness to every family gathering. He was also a devoted member of the parish of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
Andy will be survived by his brother, Czeslaw Konopka and his wife, Ewa Burbula, and their children, Anna Konopka and Marek Konopka; his sister, Alicja Mieczkowska and her family; his aunt, Boleslawa Dabrowska; his cousin, Anthony Konopka; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Stanislawa and Boleslaw Konopka, and his brother, Mieczyslaw Konopka.
Andy’s generous heart and love for family will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from Alfred Roy & Sons - Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel, 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent for the services.
