Melissa Bryant Shiver, 58, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, May 8, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with David Breyfogle and Steve Sutton officiating.
Melissa was born June 27, 1967, in Albany, Georgia, to Juanita Bouie Winn and the late Larry Bryant. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren dearly. She was a very loving person who enjoyed being with her family. Those who loved her most will remember her wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Tim Shiver of Irwin County; son, Timothy Paul Shiver; daughter, Shannon Renee Shiver; grandchildren: Zachary Wayne Shiver, Zoe Renee Shiver, and Ellie Renee Mitchell; her mother, Juanita Winn of Fort Valley; brother, Larry Paul Bryant & Kim of Groveland, Florida; mother-in-law, Georgiana Shiver of Fitzgerald; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many other extended family members.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
