Mrs. Irene P. (Paquette) Ciras, wife of the late Alphonse C. Ciras, died suddenly at her home in Andover, Saturday, September 16, 2006. She was 86 years old. Born in Ridlonville, Maine on June 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Medora (Cyr) Paquette. Mrs. Ciras was a long time communicant of St. Augustine Church in Andover. She had been employed as an assembler at Raytheon for many years. Irene was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots. She also enjoyed traveling the Florida and Moosehead Lake in Maine.
She will be sorely missed by her three beloved daughters; Sandra J. and her husband Sam S. Amanatian of Boynton Beach, Florida, JoAnne P. Ciras and her partner Allan Johnson, both of Derry, New Hampshire and Susan L. and her husband Jay D. Costello of Andover, four grandchildren; Shawna J. and Stephen Amanatian and Zachary J. and Jonathan J. Costello, one sister; Rita Bellavance of Connecticut and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Arthur, Oscar and Leon Paquette and Marie Croteau.
A funeral mass was held in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Wednesday at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends attended. Calling hours were in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home 390 North Main Street, Andover, Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was private.
