Obituary

WEBSTER – Edward F. “Eddy” Donovan, Jr., 63, died Friday, January 2, 2026 at home after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 26 years, Sharon M. (Kilpatrick) Donovan; 7 children, Matthew Z. Kilpatrick and his wife Alisha of Coventry, RI, Kellie A. Kilpatrick of Danielson, CT, Bryan W. Kilpatrick of Uxbridge, Jessica L. Kilpatrick of Kileen, TX, and Amanda J. Donovan, Nicholas E. Donovan and Sean P. Donovan, all of Webster; a granddaughter, Liliana DeValle; twin sisters, Jean A. Donovan of Tampa, FL and Jody K. Houghton of Grosvenordale, CT; nephews and nieces.

Born on April 19, 1962 in Putnam, CT, he was the son of Edward F. Donovan, Sr. and Norma (Edwards) Donovan. He lived in Webster most of his life, and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1979.

Mr. Donovan served in the United States Army as a ranger. He was a mechanic for Dodge Automobile, working at several dealerships before retiring in 2012 due to illness. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed things that involved electronics and cars.

Private services were held on Monday, May 4th at Corbin Cemetery, Corbin Road, Dudley, with military honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council. Arrangements were under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
