
Southbridge – Richard J. Tetreault, 59, of Southbridge, passed away in Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a long battle with cancer.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Debra J (Desrosiers) Tetreault; two sons Richard Tetreault Jr. and Alexzander Tetreault both of Southbridge; 7 brothers and sisters, Judy Shute, Eileen Sealy, Faye Lariviere, Karen Dube, Kelly Tetreault, Michelle Sullivan and Robin Tetreault; an aunt and uncle, Richard and Frances Babin; his cousins Joseph paul Griffin Jr., David Anthony Griffin, Lisa Griffin Leister and Ruthann Cutress as well as many nieces and nephews.
Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Raymond and Carol (Babin) Tetreault and is also predeceased three sisters, Paula O’Brien, LuAnn Alejandro and Kerry Snyder.
Richard attended and graduated from the former David Hale Fanning Trade School and proudly served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. He enjoyed listening to audio books, taking walks and collecting various swords and knives. Some of his favorite times were when he was able to be with his family, especially his two sons.
Funeral services are being held privately. Marchand Memorial Homes, Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester is honored to be assisting the family.
