With heavy hearts and deep affection, we announce the passing of Maria P. (Teti) Ferzoco, 86, of Wellesley, formerly of Dedham and Westwood. She passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on May 1, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruno, and joins him in loving eternity. She is survived by her children Dr. Victor Ferzoco and daughter-in-law Dr. Fern Wirth of Wellesley, Dr. Stephen Ferzoco and daughter in-law Karyn Ferzoco of Wellesley, and Esther (Ferzoco) Bertrand and son-in-law Matthew Bertrand of Westwood, Massachusetts. She was the devoted Nonna to Nicole, Brian, Michael and Ethan Ferzoco, and Adam and Sophia Bertrand. Born in Centrache, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Carmela (Destito) Teti of Hyde Park. She bravely immigrated to the US at the age of nine and resided with close family in Dedham until reunited with her parents as a young teenager. She and her husband established a family business in food and community for numerous years in Hyde Park and Dedham.
She was known for her generosity and kindness. Cooking was her love language, and she took great joy in gathering everyone around the table, preparing meals that became the backdrop for laughter, stories, and lifelong memories. A proud Italian mother and grandmother, she carried her traditions with warmth and pride, passing them down through generations. She treasured time spent with loved ones, especially during her trips to Nantasket Beach, Florida and her fun-filled visits to the casinos, where her vibrant personality and love of life always shone through. Selfless to her core, she always put others before herself. Her love was constant, her presence comforting, and her legacy one of compassion and devotion.
