Pearl Lorene Turner Cash, 85, of Tifton, died Saturday, Setpember 16, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joe Wiggins will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Charlie Dillard, Eddie Dillard, Nicky Newbern, Kevin Newbern, Josh Cash and Tommy Cash will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Shelp, Justin Cash, Phillip Cash and Billy Vaughn. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Cash was born on April 13, 1921 in Quitman, Brooks County, and was the daughter of John E. Turner and Annie H. Turner, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Washington Cash and one brother, Andrew Turner. She was a textile worker and a member of Unity Tabernacle Holiness Church. She had lived in Tifton for 41 years.
Ms. Cash is survived by three sons, Eddie Cash of Calhoun, Jessie Cash of Hartwell and John Vaughn of Fitzgerald; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Annie and Willie Dillard of Tifton, Mary and Ray Newbern of Brookfield and Kathy Pendley of Cook County; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
