J. Kenneth Griffin, 81, of Andover, MA, passed away on April 4, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona.
Born on December 1, 1945, in Abeline, Texas to Col. Leo J. and Lucille Griffin. In his early years he lived in Morocco, while his father served as Col. in the Army. When his father retired the family moved to Falmouth, MA. Ken embraced the beauty of the cape, spending countless hours on his boat with his friends and family.
Ken graduated from Falmouth High School, class of 1963. He continued his education, graduating from Northeastern University, class of 1968 and Suffolk University Law School, class of 1971. Excelling with top honors, he earned his law degree. He served as counsel for the Cambridge Housing Board followed by positions with private sector firms. In 1984, Ken married his beloved wife, Joanne Goulka and together they owned and managed Griffin & Goulka, LLC from 1982-2011. They retired in 2011 and Joanne passed away in 2017. Ken exceeded in his law career, twice being voted as Outstanding Trial Lawyer in the state of Massachusetts.
Ken was active in a professional legal association, firearm instructor in Andover, MA and Mesa, AZ and organizing his high school reunions. He was an active member of the Model A Ford Club, Usery Mtn. Hiking Club, Mesa, AZ, Sunland Village Men's Golf League and The Andover Sportsman Club.
Ken spent his winters in Mesa, AZ, golfing, hiking and traveling to the area National Parks. In 2019 he met and married Marsha Seegmiller and together they golfed, hiked and traveled.
Hi is survived by his wife Marsha, her daughter Tiffany and husband Ben Last and grandchildren Damien, Ely and Zoe. His brother-in-law; Rob Goulka and his wife Jean.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Goulka, his parents; Col. Leo J. & Lucille Griffin and his sister Virginia Galbraith.
A graveside was held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover, MA, on Friday, April 24, 2026.
