Charlotte Jane Coverdale
June 30, 1945- April 23, 2026
Charlotte Jane Coverdale, 80, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born on June 30,1945 in Anderson, the daughter of Earl Thomas and Betty Jean (Davis) Coverdale.
Charlotte was a life long area resident and worked as a housekeeper and nanny in the area for many years. She was a collector of 60's and 70's memorabilia and always enjoyed spending time outdoors. She enjoy spending time with her many friends at Longfellow Plaza, especially her special friend, Susan Mitchell.
She is survived by her siblings Shelia (Mike) Rogers, Linda (James) Thompson and Mike (Dana) Clapper; several nieces and nephews including her special niece and caretaker, Kellie (Dave) Granger and family, Hunter(Aaron) Thomas, Sydnee (Ryan Paddock) Granger, AJ (Nyx Downton) Granger and Kolton Granger.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Earl Thomas Coverdale; mother, Betty Jean (Davis) Clapper; step-father, Lyle Clapper; sisters, Cathy Bowyer and Toby Thomas; nephews, Joshua Rogers and Christopher Thomas.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mercy Home Care, Dr. Reddy, the entire staff at Community Cancer Center, and Rosemary Freedman N.P. and the entire staff at Community Palliative Care. Our family will be forever thankful for the compassion, and upmost care and respect given to Aunt Jane.
A memorial visitation will be held at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service on May 5, 2026 from 2-4 PM.
Memorial contributions may be given to Longfellow Plaza, 319 E. 12th Street, Anderson, IN 46016.
