
James Howard “Jim” Wright

James Howard “Jim” Wright, 91, lifelong resident of Anderson passed away at his home on April 22, 2026 following an extended illness.
He was born on August 29, 1934 in Anderson, IN to the late Arthur and Corrine (Stinson) Wright. He graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1952.
He served in the US Army.
He worked production at Delco Remy for 30 years and retired in 1982. He was a member of UAW 662. He was a realtor at J.H. Wright Reality.
He was affiliated with multiple Church of God churches. A lifetime member of the VFW, Alexandria Eagle’s, NRA and was a gun enthusiast.
His hobbies included art, painting, jewelry and candle making, gardening, fishing, and brewery making. He was a lover of many pets over the years.
He is survived by his five children, James “Jimmy” Quick, Cynthia “Cindy” Smith, Teresa (Pastor Daniel “Danny” Sr.) Robinson, Richard “Rick” Wright and Corrina “Cori” (David “Dave”) Meeks; daughter-in-law, Linda Quick; nine grandchildren, Brianna Neylon, Benjamin Smith, Daniel Robinson Jr., Christian Robinson, Te’anna Redmon, Joshua Robinson, Sierra Wright, Saundra Green, Joshua Quick.; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara (Boyer) Wright; a brother, Richard “Dick” Wright; two sons, James “Jay” Wright and Timothy “Tim” Quick; and a son-in-law, Artie Smith.
Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Daniel W. Robinson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the NRA.
