Shirley R. Moore
February 27, 1944- April 17, 2026
Shirley R. Moore, 82, of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, and went to be with the Lord. She was born on February 27, 1944, in McCrory, Arkansas, to the late Herman and Marie (Ramsey) Ridge.
Shirley worked for several years at Western Electric before becoming a florist at Payless South, where she continued until her retirement. She found joy in quilting, playing cards with friends, traveling, and, most of all, spending cherished time with her family. Shirley was a member of North Christian Church in Markleville, Indiana.
She is lovingly remembered by two of her children, Shawn (Misti) Moore and Casey (Jon) Hoschouer; her son-in-law, Shelley Lea, husband of her late daughter, Kelly Lea; nine grandchildren, Kendra (Matt) Gardner, Caleb (Allison) McFadden, Kole (Brittany) McFadden, Daiton Lea (Kennedy Conner), Justin Moore, Devon Lea, Olivia Moore, Noah Moore, and Gabrielle Hoschouer; eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Charlie, Henry, Chace, Jerry, Allis, Harper, and Haizley; her brother, Billy Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry W. Moore, whom she married on June 14, 1964; her daughter, Kelly Lea; her parents; her brother, Therman Ridge; and her granddaughter, Tara Moore.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with her son, Shawn Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
