Mrs. Estilla J. (Lopez) Blanco of Lawrence, beloved wife of Dagoberto R. Blanco, died Thursday, September 14, 2006. She was 70 years old.
Born in Cuba on October 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Pedro and Sara (Penaranda) Lopez. Mrs. Blanco retired fro Lucent technologies after 25 years of service to the company. She was a long time communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Andover.
Besides her beloved husband, Dagoberto, she is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law; Esther and her husband Larry Thatcher of Coventry, Rhode Island, one son and his friend; Douglas Blanco and Dawn Daneau and her daughter, Alexis, two grandchildren; Adam and Megan Thatcher, one brother; several sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett’s Pond Road, Andover, Monday, September 18 at noon. Many relatives and friends attended. Calling hours were in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Monday, prior to the mass from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Burial will be in West Parish Garden Cemetery.
