Obituary

Gary Keith Brunelle, 58, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. Born on March 21, 1968, he spent the past 30 years living in Charlton, Massachusetts, after growing up in the Main South neighborhood of Worcester.

Gary was the beloved son of the late Henri H. and Claire Rita (LaCroix) Brunelle. He was predeceased by several of his siblings and their spouses: David P. Brunelle and his wife, Sharon; Henri H. Brunelle Jr. and his wife, Linda; Carole A. (Brunelle) Benson and her husband, Gary; and his sister-in-law, Sheryl, wife of John J. Brunelle.

He is survived by his son, Reese Brunelle; his loving siblings, Susan C. (Brunelle) Fearrington and her husband, Larry; John J. Brunelle; Jo-Anne (Brunelle) Yost; and Alan R. Brunelle; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gary also shared a special companionship with his soulmate, Carlene Flodman, who held an important place in his life.

From a young age, Gary knew his calling. By the age of seven, he had already set his sights on becoming an electrician. He pursued that passion through his studies, graduating from Boys Trade High School in Worcester. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy as an Electrical Mate. Following his service, Gary worked for Renaud Electric while earning his master electrician’s license. He later owned and operated GKB Electric before building a long and dedicated career with National Grid, where he worked for many years.

Gary had a deep love for music and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family. Known for his warm personality and generous spirit, Gary was quick to smile, always ready with a laugh, and had a natural way of making everyone feel welcome—he truly never met a stranger.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 10 AM to1 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester. Burial with military honors will take place at a later date.
