
BUXTON, ME & Albany, OR- Lucas John Murray, 45 formerly of Oregon passed away unexpectedly at his Buxton, Maine home on April 8, 2026. Born in Bangor September 26, 1980, to the late Debra Murray.
Family was paramount to him. He consistently showed his love, gratitude and affection every single day. Engaging in activities with the children, such as collecting sports cards, attending cheer competitions and family getaways. Family has always been one of his favorite joys.
For the past five years Lucas has owned and operated the Bio One of Maine franchise. He took great pride in his work and in serving his community, forming strong bonds with mentors and colleagues in the field. He demonstrated unwavering dedication, fostering business expansion and nurturing connections with the Bio One family, all while surmounting life's challenges to achieve personal growth.
He made a profound impact on all who encountered him. His generosity and dedication to assisting others was evident in his love for family, friends and community. He possessed a contagious smile and playful demeanor. Lucas will be remembered for his compassion, loyalty, integrity, humor and optimism. Those who met him often said “He is the nicest guy”
Lucas was a devoted husband and father. He placed his loved ones at the center of his life. His children will remember him as their biggest cheerleader, someone whose guidance, daily calls and unwavering support shaped them deeply.
Michaela reflects fondly on her dad's delicious cooking, Skip-Bo tournaments, movie nights, and simply driving around in his truck.
Sophia will miss his nightly tuck ins, rides to school and his famous dinners.
Liam will miss his best friend, weekends spent at card shows, visiting the card shops, video games and his dad’s constant encouragement to focus on his education.
Bobbi will miss everything he was and what they were together. Finding comfort in believing he is now their guardian angel. He was her rock, her partner and her confidant. Their story was built on love, struggle and the courage to move forward when all things were stacked against them.
Lucas is survived by his wife Bobbi, children; Michaela, Sophia, and Liam. His sister Jennifer, and nephew Joseph. Mother and brother-in-law Melissa, and Ryan. Numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and so many dear friends.
Visting hours will be held on Sunday April 26th from 2 - 4 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton.
