George D. “Sergie” Paolillo, of Somerville, passed away peacefully with his wife Theresa by his side on Monday, April 6th. He was 80. Born in Cambridge, George was the cherished son of the late Cecilia Paolillo. Sergie had a long prosperous career as a laborer of Local 22. He was proud of the work that he accomplished throughout his career.
Sergie had a kind disposition and was loved by everyone that knew him. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time at the casinos with Theresa. Sergie was an avid sports fan especially when it came to the New England Patriots.
Sergie was the beloved husband of Theresa (Savickas) Paolillo. He was the devoted father of Sergie Paolillo and his wife Kim of Woburn, and Michael Paolillo. He was the loving papa of Brittany, Corey and Brett. He was the dear brother of Rita Paolillo, and the late Sonny Paolillo and Lenny Paolillo, and caring brother in-law of Peggy. Sergie is also survived by many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, April 14th, from 12 to 4 PM, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 3 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
